Marketing Manager, Advertising

The D Media Marketing team seeks an experienced individual to help manage marketing programs driven by our clients, in addition to marketing materials for sales and business development. A successful candidate will have deep knowledge of marketing strategy across a variety of industries, specifically as it relates to advertising, media, and online platforms. Ideally, the candidate’s experience should include working with sales leadership to understand market and client needs, and a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams. Strong copywriting skills are a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead copywriter and project manager for sales-related materials
  • Work with sales leadership to execute client marketing efforts across print, digital, and events. Project manage select sales-driven projects and programs, working with both client and internal teams
  • Develop impactful sales collateral and programs (Testimonials, case studies, sales videos, whitepapers, reports, etc), in conjunction with Marketing Director
  • For sales-driven events, work with events team on branding/invite, promotion and ticket sales, sponsorship activation, and wrap ups/follow ups
  • Develop advertiser-communication programs and touches, ranging from birthday programs to webinars and monthly newsletters that share case studies and marketing insights
  • Organize and maintain company-wide calendar of marketing initiatives and vertical priorities and needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, consulting, PR, and/or advertising or related fields
  • Agency experience a plus

The business group at D Magazine Partners is hiring a sales professional to join our team and represent Dallas Innovates and other group products. Dallas Innovates is a partnership between D Magazine Partners and the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce. Launched in February, this new initiative serves to promote the region as a hub for innovation, creativity and forward thinking businesses. We are currently interviewing for a highly-motivated and creative advertising sales professional to join our team. SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and meeting with business executives
  • Thoroughly qualify new opportunities to determine whether prospects are good potential clients
  • Manage relationships throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through execution of the client campaign
  • Develop creative campaigns / proposals that help clients achieve their business objectives
  • Consistently win new business and achieve personal revenue goals
  • Expand and maintain existing client relationships
REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE, AND SALES ATTRIBUTES OF IDEAL CANDIDATES:
  • Bachelor’s degree + 1-3 years sales experience
  • Very strong prospecting skills. Committed to consistent daily selling behaviors
  • Well-networked in the Dallas marketplace. Should be involved with industry associations and have a strong personal network
  • Ability to get in front of C-Suite executives
  • Consultative selling experience a must
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Experience with and comfort entertaining clients in social setting
  • Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Production Manager

D Magazine Partners has an immediate opening for a Production Manager. If you’re a friendly perfectionist with an eagle eye for quality control, keep reading. We’re looking for someone who’s both relentlessly organized and excellent at building and maintaining relationships with designers, editors and sales staff. Logic, tact, and a great attitude go a long way. Duties include management of office-wide publication deadlines, preflight and print prep of both print advertising materials and editorial content, and occasional design for advertising needs. Candidate will need to be a scrupulous protector of quality and will be responsible for final file signoff and upload, and various departmental documentations, including vendor invoices and paper inventory. Our ideal candidate believes in a quality product, can sense a paper weight change a mile away, and gets personal satisfaction crossing off items from their to-do list.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Construct initial layout of magazine based on advertising and editorial needs
  • Manage process of materials collection, including tracking for in-house produced advertising
  • Coordinate and enforce office-wide publishing deadlines
  • Preflight and print prep all magazine content
  • Upload and approve magazine content to printers
  • Distribute and maintain necessary documents for the construction of each magazine
  • Process vendor invoices and file final fiscal documents for each magazine
  • Press check select magazines and work with printers on the development and bidding of new or changing projects
  • Daily check-ins with editorial, art and sales staff on materials needed and production status
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-3 years experience at a publication or agency preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, or mastery of Adobe Creative Suite/equivalent work, required
  • Experience with LaunchPad and InSite software preferred
  • Experience in print production, project bidding and print vendor management
  • Proven track record of relationship building, personality management, and calm temperament under fire
  • Highly organized with documented success in a fact-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Samples of work produced preferred
