The Dallas Museum of Art brought the King Tut exhibit back to Dallas in an ambitious and original new presentation. Attendees were needed in massive numbers for the exhibit to be a success.
D Magazine and People Newspapers produced a 32-page informational booklet that was inserted into an issue of D Magazine and all three People Newspapers. The booklet presented a reader-friendly history of the exhibit, as well as an explanation about how important the display was to the Dallas economy. D also developed a website for the patrons, with an imaginative depiction of the life and times of Tut. The Dallas Museum of Art reported 664,000 ticketholders during the exhibit, resulting in the highest ticket sales in the museum’s history.
