In fall 2011, Chevrolet tapped D Magazine to help them launch the all-new Sonic in the Dallas market. Tasked with creating an event experience–more than a static car park–that targeted Millenials and featured live music, D created the custom event FrontRow Live. The partnership included integrated elements that tied into Chevy’s presence at the State Fair of Texas, a FrontRow Live Chevy VJ Contest, a Sonic Snapshot photo booth, and more. The event was an overwhelming success allowing Chevrolet to introduce the Sonic to 1,000 music-loving, fashion-forward, tech-savvy 24-35 year-olds in an organic experiential environment. Two more FrontRow Live events are planned for 2012.
